Senior Cat Insurance
E&L® are senior cat insurance specialists and provide comprehensive, low cost senior cat insurance with a range of competitively priced plans and excellent levels of cover for your cat. Each plan covers Vet's Fees for illness or injury up to 365 days from the date that the pet first displayed clinical signs of the illness/injury.
No matter how old your cat is you can have the reassurance and piece of mind that your cat will be covered with our senior cat insurance policy.
Senior cat insurance policies start from as little as £10.06 per lunar monthly policy and we offer a 45% premium discount when buying online and a 10% Multi-pet discount for insuring more then one cat.

Senior Cat Insurance Cover Options
We have three Time Limited Senior Cat Insurance Cover Options to choose from:
- Silver senior cat insurance - vet's fees up to £4,000
- Gold senior cat insurance - vet's fees up to £5,000
- Diamond senior cat insurance - vet's fees up to £6,000
Senior Cat Policy Information
The following cover benefits are for dogs and cats aged over 8 years, for pets aged 5 weeks to under 8 years please see our Pet Insurance policy.
Due to accident or illness including hospitalisation, physiotherapy, certain prescription diets, treatment and referral. No cover for disease or illness showing clinical signs within 14 days of policy inception.

Death of Pet
Due to accident or illness. We can pay up to the price paid or market value whichever is less. No cover for disease or illness showing clinical signs within 14 days of policy inception.
Boarding Kennel/Cattery Fees
If you are in hospital for more than 3 days we can cover the cost of boarding.
Due to emergency surgery on your pet within 14 days of departure.
Advertising and Reward
If your pet goes missing, you may want to advertise and give a reward.
Loss by Theft or Straying
We pay you up to the price you paid or the market value, whichever is less.
Accidental damage to a third party's property.
If your cat catches an intruder in your home.
If your vet refers you to another practice or veterinary school.
If you have to take time off work after being bitten by your pet.

The excess is the amount you pay towards a claim. The amount of excess payable can range from £79-£129 (dependent on the area of the country, breed of pet and the plan type you have chosen) except on public liability claims* where the excess amount payable will be £260. Claims for amounts over £1,000 in value are subject to double excess. For pets over the age of 8, the amount of excess payable can range from £70-£129 (dependent on the area of the country, breed of pet and the plan type you have chosen) plus under Vetâ€™s Fees, 35% of the remaining claim except public liability claims* where the excess is £260.
*Public liability claims are restricted to dogs only

The following discounts are available on E&L® Senior Cat Insurance:
- 45% online discount
- 10% multi pet discount
The total maximum discount per policy is 55%.
Introductory discounts provided only apply to new policies taken out online.
To be eligible for E&L® Senior Cat Insurance the following conditions must be met:
- The policyholder is a UK resident aged over 18 years
- The Cat must be aged between 5 weeks and 8 years of age
- E&L must be advised of any pre-existing medical conditions
