What data is collected and how is this used?
We do not collect personal information when you browse our website.
The data collected on quotation forms is used only for the purpose of preparing and issuing a quotation and insurance policy. This will include your name, address, telephone number and email address. When an insurance policy is purchased, we will also collect your payment details including bank account / credit card / debit card number.
How is this data stored?
Data submitted through the contact form is stored in a database which is in turn used by the relevant department to view submitted messages and contact the sender. No data submitted through the use of the contact form is held or viewed by anyone else; it is sent directly to us. Data submitted through application forms is stored separately and can only be viewed by us.
Who is this data shared with?
No data collected by us is shared with any organisation. We do not sell or exchange any data held by ourselves with any third parties. None of the information about your insured risk is passed on to any third party.
However, if we are in possession of information which we believe to be untrue, misleading or potentially fraudulent, we will pass the information to the relevant legal / statutory bodies. We may also share information with other organisations in the prevention of fraudulent claims.
How can you access the information we hold about you?
You have the right to request a copy of all personal information we hold about you. To request this information please submit a written request to the Equine and Livestock Insurance Company Limited, Thorpe Underwood Hall, Ouseburn, York YO26 9SS.
Please refer to the information you wish to see (including any applicable dates) and enclose a cheque for £10 payable to the Equine and Livestock Insurance Company Limited.
