Zara Phillips has two Olympic horses in mind
Zara Phillips, one of the UK’s equestrian hopefuls for the 2012 Olympic Games, has picked two horses that she thinks could soon be ready for qualifying.
The horses, High Kingdom and Lord Lauries, have the best chance of competing out of all the animals she has worked with, the royal claimed.
She said: “They are both very good at all three disciplines which is what you need for the sport.”
Phillips noted that she is currently training seven days a week. And that is on top of the weekly competitions that she has been taking part in, which tend to run from March all the way up to October.
“It’s a lot of hard work,” she concluded.
The royal and horse insurance policy holder, who’s competition future is far from certain, currently represents technology giant Samsung as a 2012 Olympic Games ambassador.
She takes on the role alongside other notable sporting celebrities like David Beckham.
