William and Kate – will they set the date?

Rumour has it that Prince William and Kate Middleton will announce their engagement in June.

The news was leaked from Tina Browne former Vanity Fair editor, a palace source and close friend of Prince William’s late motherPrincess Diana. It is said that the wedding could be scheduled in November.  This would be announced after the general election and before the prince begins his three-year posting as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot in Culdrose,  Cornwall.

If a November wedding is on the cards they’ll be following in the footsteps of the Queen herself who married Prince Phillip in November 1947.  It has been reported that the Royal family would like to see William married before the Queen celebrates her Diamond Jubilee in February 2012, which marks 60 years on the throne.
