Tips for 2012 wedding dress trends
Brides planning to begin hunting for their dream dress after investing in wedding insurance may be interested to hear about the latest trends.
It has been claimed that in 2012 strapless gowns are set to fall in popularity, while longer sleeves and veiled necklines will dominate styles, according to a feature in the Washington Post.
Intricate lace detailing, capped sleeves and sheer panelling will see dresses move away from the look, while embellished capes and boleros may also be popular.
Other trends mentioned included layered skirts and lots of texture, with "short and sweet" attire highlighted as likely to feature at many weddings.
The news source added that accessories will move away from traditional styles, with elaborate belts and bouquets made from jewellery rather than flowers sure to become popular.
After the big day, ladies were recently advised by designer and bridal expert Lisa Gowing in an article for Australian Vogue to store their dress in boxes in order to preserve them.
