Theft of pooch leaves owners devastated
A Widnes couple who may have to claim on puppy insurance because their pooch was stolen have described losing their beloved animal as “a nightmare”.
Ray and Pat Baxter were still reeling from the loss of two dogs that died within months of each other, reports the Runcorn and Widnes Weekly News.
However, they replaced their much loved English Bull Terriers with a pup called Ruby, but she was taken from their house within just six weeks.
“It’s a horrible feeling, you wonder how she’s doing … I hope whoever has got her will do the decent thing and bring her back,” Ms Baxter told the publication.
She revealed that the thieves broke into the house through the patio windows and carried off the young dog.
Owners who have dog insurance policies can claim on these if their animals are lost as some cover pays out for advertising and a reward to help locate creatures that are taken or go missing.
Earlier this month, police in the Morley Area revealed they were seeking information about a Siberian Husky that was only 18 weeks old when stolen, the Morley Observer reported.
