The much awaited Clinton wedding
Chelsea Clinton made a beautiful bride as she walked down the aisle to marry fiancé Marc Mezvinzky. The nuptials took place in front of 400 guests at the Astor Courts in Rhinebeck, N.Y and Bill Clinton looked extremely proud when he walked his only child down the aisle. The bride chose a picture perfect floor length strapless silk Vera Wang dress and later on changed into a lighter white number so she could join her new husband Marc for a well-rehearsed dance to ‘At last’. The party did not stop until the early hours of 4:30am and the wedding crashers were stopped by tight security as all the guests were issued with an ID bracelet. The nuptials were a dual religion ceremony, where both Rev William Shillady and Rabbi James Ponet blessed the marriage and the celebrations showed a beautiful fusion of both religions.
Bill Clinton gave a lovely toast to the couple when he expressed that ever since his daughter has been old enough to formulate a thought, he had ‘been outnumbered’ in his household, two to one, but now, he said ‘the playing field is even. I have someone else on my side’, which was a lovely welcome for his son-in-law, Marc.
