The 19-year-old was taken into custody after a robbery at Heaven restaurant on Exeter Street on October 30th, reports the Plymouth Herald.
As well as the camera, two bottles of whisky and a laptop went missing. A camera insurance claim may need to be made by the victim of the theft in the wake of the incident.
Two charity tins have also been reported as being stolen from the location. St Luke's hospice and Help for Heroes were the two organisations the money was being collected for.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that a 19-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the crime and was being held in custody under suspicion of burglary and theft.
