Race horse insurance needed for Sea The Stars son?
Race horse insurance may be near the top of the list of priorities for the owners of a new colt born to record-breaking champion Sea The Stars.
In 2009, the horse – who has won the 2,000 Guineas, the Epsom Derby and the Eclipse Stakes – was described as one of the all-time greats of racing.
However, the newborn had more than one renowned parent, with his mother being unbeaten mare Zarkava.
The birth in Normandy, France, was described by French manager of the Aga Khan Studs Georges Rimaud as a “straightforward foaling”.
“He is a strong colt who looks like his sire and is very correct,” Mr Rimaud added.
During their careers, both Sea The Stars and Zarkava secured the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.
Aga Khan himself had previously commented on the union of the two Arc winners, stating that he believes the two were “made for each other”.
