Police recover caravans after theft
Thames Valley Police have announced officers have been able to recover a pair of caravans that were recently stolen in the area.
The vehicles were found in Middle Ground, Wheatley, on Tuesday morning (March 5th).
Sergeant Graham Pink, based at Henley Police Station, told the Thame Gazette that officers acted on information provided by a member of the public.
"I would like to remind caravan owners to make a serious effort to secure their caravan by using wheel locks, tow hitch locks, fixed posts and anchor points," he said.
Those who become the victim of this type of a crime might need to make a claim on their caravan insurance in order to get a replacement vehicle.
Police stated that one of the caravans had been stolen on last year from Hanslope in Milton Keynes, while they believe that the other was stolen on January 1st 2012 from Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
The importance of suitable caravan insurance was recently highlighted by a fire at a Bournemouth businessman's tourer.
