Police issue caravan burglary appeal
A spate of burglaries at a Lancaster caravan park have prompted police to issue an appeal for information.
Three residents of Crook O'Lune Caravan Park may have to make a claim on their caravan insurance policy after being the victims of break-ins, which all occurred between November 25th and December 6th 2012.
PC Caroline Bell of Lancashire Police urged anyone who has seen suspicious activity at the site recently to get in touch with police.
Among the items stolen are a television, china and pottery, including some Lladro figures of sentimental value.
PC Bell said anyone who has been offered items matching the description should contact the force.
"I'd urge people to be vigilant and to ensure their properties are secure," she added.
Theft is not the only risk caravan owners face, as many parks across the country are currently at risk of flooding due to excessive rain in recent days.
The Environment Agency currently has 79 flood alerts in place across the country, with most in the south-east and midlands.
