Police investigate theft of caravan

A public appeal for information has been launched by police in Northamptonshire after the theft of a caravan in the area.

Officers revealed that the vehicle went missing from East Haddon Hill, in East Haddon, between 10:45 and 11:05 GMT on Wednesday morning (December 4th).

According to a report by the Northampton Chronicle, police believe a red saloon car, similar to a Citroen Xsara, was used by the thieves.

The criminals removed a wheel clamp, tow bar, lock and alarm before making off with the caravan, which may mean the owner has to make a claim on their caravan insurance policy.

Police added that they believe the white Elddis Crusader Super Sirocco twin axle, which has a black sticker stripe on both sides, was stolen by a white man with light brown hair.

Last month, caravan owners were warned that criminals are increasingly using the likes of eBay, Gumtree and AutoTrader to sell vehicles they have stolen.
