Police investigate Arbroath cycle theft
Police in Arbroath have launched an appeal for information after a cycle theft in the Scottish town.
A Merida make mountain bike was taken from Rowan Path in the town between February 1st and February 13th, reports the Arbroath Herald.
Officers have called for anyone who has information about the theft of the bike, from a common close in a block of flats, to come forward.
It was noted by the local police force that the bike had a black frame with white handlebars.
If anyone knows where the bike is now, they are urged to contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222.
Earlier in the month, thieves struck in a major cycle theft against Garmin-Sharp, which was forced to pull out of the Tour of the Mediterranean as a result of the loss of equipment.
Garmin-Sharp chief executive officer Jonathan Vaughters described the incident as a "big loss" for the team.
