Police appeal for information after bike theft

Police in Kent have launched an appeal for information after a rise in the number of bike thefts taking place in the area.

Officers have asked anyone who can help to get in touch by calling 101 following a spate of incidents during last weekend.

According to a report by the Maidenhead Advertiser, a cycle that was chained to railings outside a pub in the High Street was stolen between 23:40 BST on Friday (April 12th) and 01:00 BST on Saturday.

Police have also been informed of the theft of a bike in St Ives Road, while a cycle that was propped up at the end of a driveway in Harrow Lane has been taken as well.

Officers in Somerset recently launched an investigation following the theft of a yellow mountain bike and an aluminium sink from a property in Welton Road, Randstock, on March 18th, reported the Somerset Guardian.

Geoff Cannon from Radstock police station explained police believe a white high-sided van with MK Fruits written in green on the side was involved.
