Police appeal for boat thief
The importance of investing in boat insurance may have been highlighted by a theft from Shelly Beach.
Exmouth police are appealing for help in tracing the vessel and the culprit behind the craft's removal from the area, the Exmouth Journal reports.
The incident is believed to have taken place between 09:00 GMT on November 3rd and 09:30 GMT the following day.
Bearing the name Tacker written in black script on both sides of the vessel, the grey and blue motorised fishing boat is said to feature a new outward motor, as the original was recently replaced.
Police community support officer Chris Ball is reportedly in charge of the case and anyone with any information about either the crime or the whereabouts of the vessel has been asked to contact the local force.
Shelly Beach is described by East Devon District Council as a "very picturesque area", which is a short walk from the nearby town.
