Models ride horses in unusual fashion show
The organiser of a fashion show in Swindon might have taken out equine insurance after opting to have the models strut their stuff while mounted on 17-hand race horses.
McArthurGlen Group organised the event ahead of its races fashion season, which it said represents a quarter of its sales, reports Fashion United.
According to the publication, hundreds of people turned out to see the unusual display of the latest in trendy clothing.
Tina Cumpstey, centre manager at the Swindon branch, commented: “The racing season is one of our biggest fashion occasion buying periods in the financial year, with women enjoying the chance to step out in their best fashion finds.”
She observed that each woman heading to the races tends to spend between £250 and £300 on their attire.
Last year, Sophie Fairclough, a journalism student, was voted the best dressed race goer at Aintree.
