Labrador reunited with owners after five years
Iggy the puppy went missing when was he was 18 months old in August 2005. Karen and Eric Howard, the owners thought that he had been stolen, and their daughter Brierley and son Jasper were devastated. The family didn’t think they would see him again, but miraculously, five years later they were reunited with their pet after he turned up 130 miles away.
Iggy was spotted wandering around the streets of Leicester and someone took him to a vet. Thankfully, Iggy had a microchip so they could detect who his owners were. The Howard’s were relieved that he was just the same, apart from putting on weight. They think he was being cared for but not exercised. His owners do believe he was stolen and taken far away so that he wouldn’t be found.
