Kent Police investigates theft of bikes

Kent Police has launched a public appeal for information following the theft of two bicycles from outside a property in Napleton Road, Faversham.

Officers revealed that the incident occurred between 20:00 GMT on January 18th and 11:00 GMT the following morning.

A 1958 Raleigh Roadster valued at £250 was taken in the theft, as well as a lightweight touring bike worth £50.

The victim of the crime may need to make a claim on their cycle insurance policy in order to replace the stolen bikes.

"If you can help police with this investigation, please contact 101 quoting reference XY/002360/13," said Kent Police, adding: "Alternatively contact Kent Crime Stoppers on 0800 555111."

This comes shortly after the Arbroath Herald reported on the theft of a Merida mountain bike that was taken from Rowan Path in the town between February 1st and February 13th.

The local police force noted that the bike had a black frame with white handlebars.
