Kate Middleton dragon boat to be auctioned
Holders of kayak insurance may be interested in bidding at the auction of a boat once used by Kate Middleton.
All-female rowing crew the Sisterhood are auctioning off the dragon boat that the Duchess of Cambridge was photographed at the helm of on the River Thames, the Daily Mirror reports.
The image of her in the boat was taken in 2007 as the Sisterhood prepared to take part in a cross-Channel race against male crew the Brotherhood, a challenge the Duchess eventually had to withdraw from due to security concerns.
All proceeds from the auction will go to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and founder of the Sisterhood Emma Sayle said the vessel is "priceless" as it has "been involved in more adventure, gossip, romance and good times than most people have had hot dinners".
The team, which is made up of 40 women, aims to raise £100,000 per year for charitable causes.
