High value bikes stolen from Leeds home
A champion cyclist has stated he was left devastated by the theft of two expensive cycles from his home in Yorkshire.
Adam Duggleby was set to use one of the two hi-tech bicycles which are worth thousands of pounds at a competition at the weekend, but they were stolen from his Bramley property on Thursday (February 21st).
The 28-year-old, who is a national track champion, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "I'm devastated. I'd rather they had taken everything else and left the bikes."
Mr Duggleby, who won the 20km scratch race in Manchester last September, explained a Garmin GPS gadget, an Xbox games console and a laptop were taken in the robbery, as well as the red carbon fibre Shorter bike and a red and white Trek time trial cycle.
This incident comes shortly after North Yorkshire Police revealed it is investigating a bike theft that happened on January 10th at around 02:00 GMT in Pickering.
