Football-loving pony astounds staff at rescue centre
A two-year-old miniature stallion has impressed workers at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary with his football skills, equine insurance customers may be intrigued to learn.
Jeffrey was give a ball to play with after staff decided he was “looking a bit bored” and he instantly started using his new toy, reports the Daily Mail.
Manager at the centre Neil Martin commented: “He really took to it and now he has his own ball that he likes to dribble all over the field and he even uses the field shelter as his goal.”
He revealed that the animal plays with “great enthusiasm”, but noted that his paddock-mate Bracken appears to be bemused by the activity.
Equine insurance customers may be surprised to learn that Jeffrey is not the only pint-sized pony to have shown a natural footballing talent, as the owners of the world’s smallest horse Einstein recently unveiled a video showing the creature displaying some silky soccer skills.
