Caravan smashes into house after accident
A couple have described the terror they experienced when their caravan ploughed into their house after a car crashed into it.
Lynne and Mick Perry had ironically just returned from the Caravan & Camping Show at the NEC in Birmingham 15 minutes before the incident.
Speaking to the Shropshire Star, the couple explained the caravan is now embedded in their property, which is located in Majestic Way in Aqueduct, and caused major damage to the house.
A car rolled down the hill and into the caravan, forcing it into the house, they told the newspaper.
Bricks were knocked down in the incident and the tow bar of the caravan has been left embedded in the front of the house due to fears over what could happen when it is removed.
The Caravan & Camping Show at the NEC in Birmingham is one of the most popular events of its type in the UK and attracts thousands of people every year.
The Perry family may now need to invest in a new caravan in the wake of the accident, unless their caravan insurance policy will cover the cost of the damage.
