Caravan site application submitted for Winscombe
Mobile home owners may be inspired to update their caravan insurance policy and visit a new site that could soon be opened in Winscombe.
The Weston Mercury reports how plans have been submitted for agricultural land at Uplands Cottage to be turned into a pitch for 15 caravans.
Owner of the land Richard Webb is hoping to expand his farm to include a luxury holiday site, four cottages, a swimming pool and other facilities.
North Somerset Council will consult on the application, which follows a similar one submitted last year.
The original plans featured a 21-pitch site and concerns were raised about the effect on the surrounding area by Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty organisation.
A decision on the application will be delivered by September 12th.
Elsewhere, Cheshire East Council's Southern Planning Committee recently backed plans for a new caravan park in Brereton, as reported by the Crewe Chronicle.
