Caravan fire put out in Kirkby Lonsdale
A derelict caravan was found alight near Whoop Hall on the A65 in Kirkby Lonsdale at the weekend.
The model had been left in a layby away from the road and two firefighters were needed to extinguish the flames.
According to a report by the Westmorland Gazette, Cumbria Fire Service attended the incident on Sunday morning (October 27th).
The fire is now being investigated by Lancashire Fire Service and it is believed that not enough of the caravan was left for the emergency services to be able to identify the cause.
Owners must consider caravan insurance in order to protect themselves from fires and other accidents that may occur in their vehicles.
This latest caravan fire comes only a short time after a model was found on fire at the Marldon Tor Caravan site.
Speaking to the Herald Express, John May, site manager, confirmed that nobody was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
