Bike theft reported in Wells
Somerset police are investigating the theft of two bikes worth £2,000 in total in Wells.
According to a report by the Wells Journal, thieves broke into a garage on Rowdens Road in the town between 22:00 GMT on January 10th and 07:00 GMT the following day.
A red Dawes road bike with drop down handles was taken by the robbers, along with a GT stunt bike that was described as rare, with black wheels and white tyres, frame and handlebars.
It was noted by the local police force that the bikes are worth £1,000 each.
North Yorkshire Police recently revealed that it is looking into the theft of bikes in Pickering earlier in the month.
A Trek Cobra in black and white, a black and grey Trek 6000 and a Trek 3500 Disc were among the cycles taken in the raid at the shop on Southgate in Pickering, with the total value of the bikes worth around £10,000.
