It is important to let the photographer know what style of photographs you would like and certain photos that you wish to be taken, for example of either the bride and groom with a specific guest.
An increasingly popular style of wedding photography is reportage style or the 'story book' approach. This involves your photographer taking photos from the initial getting ready stages through to the evening reception with pictures of the bride getting ready through to the first dance. There is still the more traditional posed photograph style of groups of the bridal party and most couples now tend to go for a mixture of both.
A video is a great way to capture all the details of your wedding day, the chance to watch your wedding day after the event itself means that this is becoming a popular option. From the speeches to your arrival at the church the video will enable you to relive these moments again and any moments that you missed when you were meeting and greeting all your guests. This cost will need to be determined in your budget as they can be quite expensive; however a cheaper viable option is asking a friend or relative to do this for you.
