Senior Dog Insurance FAQs

If the following FAQs don't answer your query please have a look at our General FAQs or our Leisure and Lifestyle Insurance FAQs sections.

As my dog gets older and poses less of a risk, do I still need public liability cover?
Yes, there is still the chance that an accident can occur - no matter what age your dog is. Public Liability cover simply protects you should the need arise. It is free as part of your policy.

If I choose not to vaccinate my senior dog am I able to arrange cover?
Yes, however unvaccinated senior dogs will not be covered if they show signs of: Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Parvovirus. If any illness preventable by routine vaccination occurs, this will be excluded from your policy (unless the vaccine failed).

My senior dog needs dental treatment, is this covered under my policy?
Yes, so long as the treatment was undertaken for health requirements and related to a specific condition we will not cover for non routine or cosmetic dental complications on this policy.
