Golf is becoming an increasingly popular sport in the UK. It is estimated there are 1.7 million regular golfers in Great Britain.* 1998 saw a High Court ruling resulting in golfers being potentially 'liable for golf shots that cause injury'. E&L® golf insurance offers up to £2.5million public liability cover making sure you are covered should you cause damage to third party property or injure an individual with a stray golf ball.

Some people wrongly believe that their household contents insurance will cover their golfing equipment. In many instances this is not the case. A large proportion of household insurance policies exclude sports equipment and sports injury cover meaning if anything should happen either on or off the course you would be held financially responsible.

The policyholder is a UK resident aged over 18 years
If you are insuring a junior, a parent or guardian must take out the policy
