Do you enjoy fishing? Insurance could make it even better!
For many people, fishing is a pleasurable pastime and it doesn't matter if you take
part in competitions, or simply enjoy a quiet afternoon near the water - fishing insurance
could be a valuable addition to your tackle box.
Whether you take part in coarse fishing, match fishing, game fishing or even
catch-and-release, it's likely that you have spent a significant amount of money on the
equipment that you use. After all, rods and reels are expensive, not to mention the
various baits, lures and flies that you may have acquired over time.
You should also be aware that very few home contents insurance policies cover
sports equipment such as fishing gear, or injuries that occur while taking part in a sport.
That's why specialist fishing insurance is important for anglers of any level.
Here at E&L, we offer a comprehensive angling insurance package that takes all
the worry out of looking after your equipment, enabling you to get on with the activity
you love. So why not get a
free online quote today or contact
us for more information?
What does fishing insurance include?
The fishing tackle insurance offered by E&L provides 100% theft, damage and
accidental loss cover on all of your equipment. It also includes two years new-for-old
replacement on unattended vehicles - perfect if you have to park your car and leave it
for the day while practicing your sport.
As well as protecting the various pieces of kit that a fisherman owns, our fishing
insurance also includes temporary disablement and personal accident cover, as well
as public liability of up to £1.25 million per incident.
For those who take part in night fishing, a policy extension is available to cover the
risks associated with this activity. Additionally, all policies include reimbursement for
club and match fees, in case you cannot participate due to illness or injury.
We offer two payment options for our fishing insurance: yearly and monthly. The
monthly plan is based on the lunar calendar (with a 28-day month) and it is the ideal
option, as it costs less but includes a higher level of cover. A 5% discount is also
available for junior anglers and those over 65.
