Angling Insurance

What information do you need to start cover?
As well as asking you for your full contact details we require details of the risk address where the equipment is stored and a list of your equipment including the makes, models and values. We would also need to know the storage security.
What is the minimum/maximum age?
The minimum age we can insure is 14, whilst the maximum is 75 years. We offer a discount to Juniors and Anglers aged over 65 years old.
What is the maximum value you insure?
You can insure equipment up to a value of £7500 with the single item limit being £1500.
Is there an excess on this policy?
£45 on all sections except worldwide claims where the excess is £60, unattended vehicle claims where the excess is £99 and public liability where it is £150
Do you cover clothing and camping equipment?
We cover specialist fishing clothing under our standard policy, however, offer a separate policy for camping equipment.
How do I insure small items like hooks and floats?
These are covered under our tackle box contents cover and items do not need to be specified individually, up to a maximum of £300.
Do I need any specific security on my vehicle or where I keep my equipment?
Yes, full details are provided within the Policy Wording.
Am I covered if I lend, loan or hire my equipment to another person?
No, the cover is only applicable to you.
Am I covered if I take my fishing equipment abroad?
We provide plans for anglers in the UK, UK and Worldwide.
Am I covered for sea fishing?
Not at present, but it is something we may consider in the future. Currently we insure both coarse fishing and match and game fishing.
Do you cover UK residents?
Yes, cover is only available for residents of the United Kingdom, The Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Northern Ireland.
