Whatever type of bicycle riding you do, insurance is essential. Not only does it protect you financially in case your bike suffers damage or gets stolen, but it also provides you with cover in case you accidentally cause damage or injury while riding.
Whether you ride a road bike, a mountain bike or a BMX, E&L can help you ensure that you are properly protected. We offer a variety of comprehensive yet affordable cycle insurance policies and if you order online, you can benefit from an additional 10% off, giving you even better value.

When you choose to get bicycle insurance, one thing to think about is the type of riding that you do. For example, those who enjoy a gentle cycle on the weekends, or who use their bike to commute will probably be looking for a different level of cover than those cyclists who take part in competitions.
Here at E&L, our cycle insurance is available in two options, ensuring you get just what you need, without having to pay for anything you don't.
Our Leisure Plan is a cycle insurance plan designed for more leisurely pursuits, as well as road-based time trials. Alternatively, you may want to get the Compete Plan, which has been specifically designed for bikes used in racing competitions.
Whichever policy you select, your bicycle insurance will cover fire, theft, accidental loss and accidental damage, as well as personal accident and public liability.
You'll also enjoy the peace of mind that, should anything happen to your bicycle, the insurance will provide funds for replacement hire and emergency recovery. You'll also get new-for-old replacement on equipment under a certain age.
Additionally, for anyone who enjoys cycling in destinations outside of the UK, our bicycle insurance also includes worldwide use for up to 45 days per year, depending on the plan you choose.
At E&L, we take great pride in offering excellent bicycle insurance at a low price. We've been providing specialist coverage in niche markets for over 70 years and during that time we have built our reputation by delivering options that our customers want, along with friendly client support.
Payment options for our cycle insurance include monthly and yearly plans. The monthly option is based on the lunar calendar (28 days) and offers a higher level of coverage.
Our cycle insurance policies are also backed by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), so whatever option you choose, you can rest assured that you'll be properly protected, no matter what happens.
