Touring caravan Insurance plans can include: -
- Up to 25% online premium discount
- Further discount's available for storage, approved tracker's, driver age and caravan club membership up to a maximum total discount of 30%.
- Up to 5 years new for old cover dependent on plan chosen
- Cover for fire and theft, European use, public liability, new for old and personal accident available
So if you are taking your tourer abroad you don't need to worry as European Cover is available on all our touring caravan insurance plans. Depending on the level of cover chosen you can take your caravan to Europe for between 120-260 days a year, at no extra cost.

Excess
The excess is the amount you pay towards a claim. It is £119 on all sections except Public Liability where it is £150.

- The total maximum discount per policy is 25% even if you qualify for discounts which total more than 25%.
The following discounts are available on E&L® Caravan Insurance:
- 25% online discount
- 5% discount if you store your caravan at a CaSSOA gold site
- 10% discount if your caravan is fitted with an approved tracker. Approved trackers are Phantom Target, Phantom Target Pro-Active, Tracker Horizon and RAC Trackstar Plus
- 5% discount if the driver of the caravan is over 45 years old
- 5% discount if you are a member of the Caravan Club
The total maximum discount per policy is 30%.
Introductory discounts provided only apply to new policies taken out online.
To be eligible for E&L® Caravan Insurance the following conditions must be met:
- The policyholder is a UK resident aged over 18 years
- The driver of the towing vehicle is aged over 25 years
- The caravan door opens onto the kerb side
- Caravan must be of UK specification
- The caravan is not a Hobby, Knaus or Tabbert model
- The caravan must not be used as permanent living accommodation
- The caravan must not be used as accommodation for periods longer than 90 consecutive days unless we have agreed in writing
- Caravans cannot be over 20 years of age unless we have specifically agreed and you have paid the appropriate premium and the endorsement is shown on the Schedule
- The policy application is subject to a flood risk assessment.

- Yes, we do not cover any caravan that is wider than 7ft 6in and any van with the door on the drivers side. We are also unable to insure Hobby, Tabbert or Knaus caravans.

- The policy covers the cost of recovery within the UK following loss/damage as a result of any cause listed in section 1 of our Policy Wording. This should not be confused with breakdown recovery cover which our policy does not provide.

- Accidental damage is covered whilst the caravan is being towed. Any Public Liability cover will be provided by the insurance company of the towing vehicle.

- The following accessories can be insured: awning, toilet tent, generator, motor mover, stabiliser, camping table/chairs, refrigerators, heater, water carrier, kitchen equipment/utensils, security devices, and sleeping bags/bedding. We do not offer cover for any other contents such as televisions and clothes.

- Who is covered for towing the caravan?
- The caravan can be towed by the policy holder and their spouse. Other family members can be added to the policy but an extra premium may be applicable depending on the cover you have selected.

- Who is covered to use the caravan?
- We cover the insured property for social, domestic and pleasure purposes. We do exclude use of the caravan for business purposes, hiring or lending out unless we have specifically agreed otherwise and endorsed your policy schedule accordingly. We also exclude use of the caravan as permanent living accommodation or home address, or as accommodation for periods longer than 90 consecutive days unless we have given prior agreement in writing and you have paid any additional premium.
