- Purple wedding flowers ‘proving popular’

Couples looking for wedding insurance cover may be interested to hear about the latest trend in flowers.
Juley Rosa, owner of American store Fiori Di Amore, told the Californian that 2011 has seen an increase in the number of individuals selecting purple shades for their arrangements.
She said: “A lot of people are asking for flowers in deep eggplant colour. A lot of people seem to be attracted to that.”
The florist explained that extravagant ceremonies and expensive flowers are proving less popular.
Instead, brides and grooms-to-be are opting for traditional bouquets such as country styles and vintage looks.
Ms Rosa explained that these are more in-keeping with destination locations such as beaches and vineyards that are a common choice this year.
To help save money on arrangements, it was suggested that couples should ask their florist what flowers are in season when they are planning to get hitched.
One celebrity who appeared to spare no expense on his wedding bouquets is Kelsey Grammer after the National Examiner recently reported large displays of red and pink roses were delivered to the reception venue.
