- Pet detectives on hunt for missing moggy
- June 6, 2011 | 0 Responses
One loyal pet owner, who no doubt has cat insurance, has enlisted the help of a group of pet detectives after his moggy went missing.
According to Your Local Guardian, George Theonus, of Tudor Close in Banstead, called in professional pet search and rescue team Animal Search UK when his cat Foyi went missing on May 22nd.
Animal Search UK is a uniformed squad and its members carry walkie-talkies and rescue traps. They even drive patrol vehicles, the news provider reported.
Their pet search efforts were soon rewarded after Foyi was found trapped between two buildings after falling through a gap in the roof of a nearby home and Mr Theonus told the paper he was delighted to be reunited with his companion.
“I was very happy to find him, otherwise he could have died there,” he said.
There are a number of websites where pet owners can store details of their missing cat, including National Register. Those who find missing animals often check such sites to try and reunite pets with their owners.
