Rowing boat insurance customers may want to lend a hand and help raise money for sick babies at a charity event in Warwick.
The Coventry Telegraph reports how competitors are needed for a Dragon Boat Festival that is being held at St Nicholas Park.
Teams will battle it out to take the first place position during the race, which will be held on May 22nd.
Adela Shepherd from the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust’s Baby Care Appeal said: “Just one team could raise enough for equipment to monitor the health of an unborn child, so that our nurses know if the baby or mum’s health is at risk.”
It is hoped that entrants will help to collect £225,000 for a range of life-saving devices and treatments at the University Hospital in Walsgrave.
According to the Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco, the Dragon Boat Festival is widely believed to have originated between 475 and 221 BC.All content provided on this blog is for informational purposes only.
