The British eventing team won team gold at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, USA, last week. It is Team GB’s first eventing title for 16 years which explains the euphoric scenes at the event. Nicola Wilson, Tina Cook, William Fox-Pitt and Mary King celebrated winning team gold, which makes them favourites for London 2012. William Fox-Pitt expressed how it helped to have all the support back at home: ‘We thought we had a strong team but the pressure was on. We have fantastic back-up at home and it felt exceptionally important to pull this one off.’ So, congratulations to Team GB and looking forward to a repeat of this great performance at London 2012!
