- £40,000 stolen boat found in deserted barn

A £40,000 boat was stolen from Swanage Marina but was remarkably found 70miles away in a desolate barn in Neston.
The boat is a blue and grey 7.85 metre rib-eye boat called ‘Oceana’
Oceana was stolen at the beginning of July from the Marina and was tracked down by both Wiltshire and Dorset police. Sergeant Jim Stannard, commented “PC Andy Henson had been working with Dorset Police and between them they worked out that the boat was in the Neston area.”
The two policemen hunting the missing boat went to Chippenham Magistrates in order to obtain a warrant under the ‘Theft Act’ as they suspected the boat was in the barn. The Wiltshire police helicopter is thought to have identified the barn as a potential storage place for the missing marine craft.
The boat was located and seized by the police and returned back to the relieved owner.
