
The Home Office have just released a new and improved passport for overseas caravanners.
The new document features iconic images from all over the UK including destinations such as the Gower Peninsula and Giant’s Causeway.
Each passport also comes with a range of enhanced security features which includes a second image of the passport holder, holograms and an invisible chip.
Chief Executive of the Identity and Passport Service, Sarah Rapson noted improve passport security for many Uk travellers.
She said, “The new design is part of our strategy to stay ahead of criminals who look fraudulently alter or copy passports.”
Home Office statistics demonstrate that 60,000 British tourists’ passports were lost or stolen abroad between April 2009 and April 2010.
