A one year old cat is recovering at the vets after undergoing an operation to remove a crossbow bolt from his chest.
An inquiry is underway after the cat had gone missing on 2nd June and reappeared eight days later with what could have been a fatal injury. Luckily for the cat the bolt just missed vital organs. The veterinary practice treating the animal is Mill House Surgery in King’s Lynn said the ‘cat’s skin had started to grow over the bolt’s shaft’. The RSPCA are currently looking for the person who inflicted this horrific injury.
The RSPCA are also helping the family to pay the vet’s fees. If the owners had Pet Insurance they would have been covered under the vet fee protection. With E&L Pet Insurance the owners would have been able to claim up to £6,000 vet fee cover. The owners would also have been able to claim advertising and reward costs through their E&L policy up to the cost of £1,000.
Do not loose out financially, insurance companies such as E&L Insurance are there to ease the financial burden of expensive vet’s fees at a very emotional and stressful time for both dog and cat owners.
