Ever fancied getting swept off your feet? Noah Fulmore and Erin Finnegan from America, became the first ever couple to get married in zero gravity.
Having paid more than £10,000, the couple wed on a special flight which simulates zero gravity as experienced by astronauts on their space expeditions. The Boeing 727 jet on which they marries has been converted so that is undertakes dives as on roller coasters. The jet plummets downwards and in turn leaves the passengers feeling weightless.
In order to make the marriage legal, British born space tourist Richard Garriot officiated the ceremony.
As science fiction fans, the couple decided that they didn’t want to have a traditional ceremony, so they headed for the skies instead. The coupled exchanged rings, which were again far removed from the traditional wedding band materials. The rings were in fact made from precious fragments of metal off a meteorite that crashed to earth in Namibia 30,000 years ago.
The bride wore a designer wedding dress, customised with trousers underneath so that she preserved her modesty.
Noah stated “It was outstanding, everything we were hoping forâ€.
