Equestrian properties and yards are ideal targets for thieves. Horses, equestrian equipment and horseboxes are all very expensive items. Police are urging people to mark their equestrian property. This will then not only act as a deterrent to thieves but if the equipment is stolen then it makes it a lot easier to identify the stolen equipment and return it to the rightful owner i.e. you. A theft occurred at a secure compound in Peterborough in July where a green Ivor Williams 505 Hunter Trailer double axle horse trailer was stolen. The trailer has a hunter sign on both the jockey and back door. There is also a faint mark of a previous logo reading ’3D’.
