- Golfers warned over numerous thefts

North Yorkshire Police have warned golfers especially in Yorkshire to be extra vigilant after four golf clubs got broken into in a very short space of time.
Burglars broke into Knaresborough, Bedale, Thirsk and Northallerton golf clubs stealing thousands of pounds worth of golfing equipment. Lockers were forced open and golf clubs, golf bags, clothing and shoes were all amongst the stolen items. Expensive branded items that were stolen included Ping, Taylor Made, Callaway, Mizuno, Nike, Cobra and Scotty Cameron.
Committee members are speaking closely with North Yorkshire Police as investigations continue. The public are being urged to take out strict security measures and are advising to mark any golf equipment with UV pens to help police identify and return items if they are found.
