- Cyclist saved by a mystery climber after falling off cliff

A female cyclist, who hasn’t been named, was out cycling with her family at Cheddar Gorge in Somerset when she fell off her bike, rolled down a bank and dropped 80ft off the edge of a cliff. However, the woman was very lucky as a mystery climber stopped to give her first aid and spinal stabilisation, before disappearing into the night. She escaped with only a broken collar bone and minor cuts and bruises; Alan George, a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Mountain Rescue states that, “Without him she would probably be in a much worse state”. After the disappearance of her mystery helper, mountain rescue teams, fire-fighters and a RAF helicopter rushed to her side and the cyclist is now in a stable condition at a Bristol hospital.
