- A Model Proposal…
- December 8, 2009 | 0 Responses
Sarah Dawson and her boyfriend Jamie Moss went for a day out to Babbacombe Model Village in Devon when they were having a weekend break away in nearby Dartmouth. Jamie thought it was a normal Christmas day out but Sarah had been plotting the engagement for some time. Sarah said “I thought it would be really romantic and unique to propose at the model village. I rang them and told them what I wanted to do and they made the models for me.” The miniature models were designed in a horse and carriage and positioned outside the small church in the miniture village. As the couple wandered past the model church, James commented on how much the two model figures looked like them. Sarah then took this as her moment to pop her question “that’s because they are. Then I gave him the ring and asked him to marry me. He was stunned but said yes.”
James commented on the proposal, “I’m overwhelmed. I just can’t believe it. I wasn’t expecting this at all. The models are absolutely fantastic. I don’t know how they have captured so many of our features on such small figures.” Sarah and James are now delighted to finally be engaged as it was not the first time a proposal had been made, Sarah said “I’ve been with James for two wonderful years. He’s asked me to marry him every day for that time and I’ve said no every time. He knows I’m scared of commitment but he has been so good to me and I wanted to show him how much I love him.”
This is a fantastic engagement story and I am sure that the happy couple will be busy announcing their engagement. One of the next things that a newly engaged couple should do is take out insurance. E&L have been providers of wedding insurance for over ten years and will financially protect you and your wedding. Months of planning should mean that you enjoy the perfect wedding ceremony. However, unfortunate circumstances can occur such as redundancy, unexpected illness, supplier failure and loss of deposits. Protect yourself financially with a wedding insurance package from E&L. E&L Wedding insurance starts from £19.50. Visit www.eandl.co.uk/wedding to take out instant cover.
