There is plenty for Keri-Anne Payne to look forward to, despite the swimmer missing out on a medal in the Olympics yesterday (August 9th).
The 24-year-old was in contention for a top three spot throughout the 10,000m race on the Serpentine in Hyde Park, but ended up finishing the circuit in fourth spot.
Fellow Team GB swimmer David Carry was on hand to cheer his fiance Payne on and stated he is "proud" of her despite the star not picking up a medal in her home Olympics.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, he said their attention will now turn to their upcoming wedding, joking: "I'm surprised she didn't take her little wedding notebook in with her."
Carry finished seventh in the men's 400m freestyle at the London Games and fellow Team GB star Rebecca Adlington was also in Hyde Park cheering her friend Payne on.
Despite disappointment for Team GB in the swimming events, athletes have beaten all expectations by racking up a string of gold medals in events as diverse as shooting, rowing, canoeing and taekwondo.
