Anna Friel may have invested in camping insurance earlier this year after she revealed how she spent her first night sleeping under the stars in Wales.

The actress told the Radio Times she was initiated into the world of camping by her boyfriend Rhys Ifans.

Describing how she has had little experience in the great outdoors, Friel explained how she did not know what to pack and ended up taking a suitcase instead of a rucksack.

However, it seems the 35-year-old enjoyed herself, as she stated: "I learnt that being out there with nothing was the important thing. We had such a good time."

In comparison to his girlfriend, Ifans appears to be quite experienced in camping, as Friel proudly recounted how the actor created a fire.

Ifans, who previously dated Sienna Miller, is known for his appearances in films including Notting Hill, Mr Nice and The Boat That Rocked.
