- Hollyoaks star Gemma Merna ‘sets wedding date’

Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna may finally be ready to invest in wedding insurance, as she has finally set a date for her nuptials.
According to the Daily Mail, the star and her fiance Ian Minton are to tie the knot in May, three years after they announced their engagement.
Mr Minton popped the question during a holiday in the Maldives in 2009 and the pair are said to have at last decided to host their ceremony in Merseyside.
A source claimed Merna is planning to have her on-screen family as her bridesmaids, with Jennifer Metcalfe, Jorgie Porter and Nicole Barber Lane taking on the roles.
The trio play Mercedes, Theresa and Myra McQueen respectively in the long-running Channel 4 soap.
Merna is alleged to have told friends: "I am so excited, we have been planning our special day for the past six months and can't wait to enjoy it with all of our friends and family."
