- Exercise regimes ‘should be easy to maintain’

Over 50s may be inspired to dust off their bike and invest in cycle insurance following one expert's comments on getting fit.
Ceri Wheeldon, founder of fabafterfifty.co.uk, described how it is important to commit to an exercise regime that is easy to maintain in order to see long-term results.
She noted how many people "go off on a tangent" in January and then quickly lose motivation to keep up with their chosen activity.
Ms Wheeldon urged men and women to "pick an exercise that you enjoy doing", as this will give individuals a feeling of empowerment and positivity.
It was suggested getting fit helps people to feel "alert, brighter and more motivated", which has a "knock-on effect on other aspects of your life".
The comments follow a recent article on New York's Union College website that revealed interactive video games used in exercise regimes help boost cognitive health in seniors.
