The importance of investing in golf equipment insurance may have been highlighted by the case of a robbery in Welwyn Garden City.
Police are appealing for help in catching the thieves who broke into a car that was parked in Haldens on May 23rd, the Welwyn Hatfield reports.
The incident took place between 22:00 BST and 23:15 BST and resulted in a black Callaway golf bag being taken along with a number of clubs.
Other items snatched from the silver Audi A6 included Ray-Ban sunglasses, a laptop and a small amount of money.
Appealing to the public, PC Paul Edmondson said: “It may be that you saw someone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
“Or perhaps you have been offered items for sale matching the descriptions of the stolen items.”
Either way, he asked for anyone with information to come forward.
Elsewhere, the Northern Echo recently reported that a pensioner had a full set of Callaway clubs worth around £1,000 taken from an outhouse in Consett. All content provided on this blog is for informational purposes only.
