A total of £3,000 was raised recently when a special golf day took place at Bingley St Ives Golf Club.
The Telegraph & Argus has told how players came together to play in aid of The Ear Trust, with the event becoming an annual fixture in the club's calendar.
Organiser and fundraiser for the trust Breeda Barry said the four-ball event featured a full field, while players also enjoyed a lunch, dinner and presentation.
"The weather was great and the charity raised £3,000. This is all thanks to local businesses who entered teams, sponsored a hole and donated raffle and auction prizes," Ms Barry stated.
Such an event might serve as an important reminder to players that they must update their golf insurance policies prior to taking part.
Bingley St Ives Golf Club dates back to 1931 and is a par 71 championship-standard course. It describes itself as one of the best clubs in Yorkshire.
